Next door to Frenchy's Original Cafe is Frenchy's gift shop - "Off the Hook." Since the opening of the Original Cafe, in 1981, patrons have enjoyed the colorful tees, tanks and polo shirts. Frenchy's logos were developed by Silas Beach, a locally renowned artist. Silas' use of bright colors and his tropical subject matter have become somewhat of a legend in the local area.
The inspiration and backbone to the success for all of Frenchy's restaurants is the freshest seafood available. In 1983, Frenchy decided not to depend upon others for fresh fish and bought his own boat. My husband and I have visited Florida many times but this is the first time to visit Clearwater Beach. I LOVED IT!!! I have been to a lot of beaches but this was the most beautifulust beach I have ever been. We vacationed this summer at Myrtle Beach, SC again but after going to Clearwater over the Labor Day weekend I fell in love with it and know that it will be where I vacation next year.
